Sui,
Callum and I will be there tonight.
Thommo,
Can't understand why it's taking you so long to walk across Scotland - maybe get along to training and you'll do it quicker next time or maybe pick the narrowest point not the widest. Good effort though - damn now I remebered I sponsored you for that didn't I.
cheers

| So how did the fitness training go? I would have come along but I had a band practice to be at, and since we've got a gig tomorrow I couldn't really skip it! |

3 Monarchs (Sui, Phil Nolan and me) and 1 Wanderer (Callum) were there - we did a little running then played frizbee. We need more to turn up to make it meaningful.
We are meeting tonight in Camperdown (getting the most of our Council Tax us lot) at the house 6.45 for 7.00 for a cycle. Weather permitting - i.e. if its still pissing down I won't be there - and it is still looking pretty grim so not going.
Cheers

Not a lot of people showed up, in fact only 4 if you include Martin's son Callum so i am disappointed at the result. Next week same time but lets have a better turn out please. It's not that I get a lot of joy shouting at people..maybe but it is for your benefit. Remember, some clubs have already started their pre-season more than a month ago. Also on saturday, if anyone is up for it, I am planning to bike to arbroath or as far as people want to go. Depending on the weather meet at 12pm in Baxters pavilion. It should take 3 hrs Sui

Sorry that I have not been to pre-season training, I have recently started a new job and I now work during the evening, not finishing until between 8pm and 9pm.
I will also be working on Saturday afternoons until about 2pm or 3pm.
Cheers
Badu
PS my job involves a lot of walking, so I will hopefully be a bit fitter this season than last (but then again, that'll not be hard!) |

Sui,
I'm up for trying to cycle to Arbroath on Saturday.
Just to warn you I won't be cycling back again - my support vehicle will be accompanying me along the way - driving ahead to McDonalds at Dobbies to pre-buy some liquid refreshments and then again skooting ahead to Arbroath McD's to make sure there is something deserving of all that effort awaiting me if I make it there.
For the record - if I don't make it there - scatter my ashes on DISC not McArtney Park in Arbroath - never scored that many there lol.
Cheers

According to the bbc weather report for saturday, it is going to be showers and lightning. However, I find that the bbc are sometimes wrong especially for the east coast. If you are coming on saturday, then use your common sense ie if its raining don't bother. If not raining but possible, bring waterproof clothing and if its not raining at the start but during then we'll turn back and if you turn up and I'm not there then I have chickened out haha!. PS for those who are playing on tuesday, remember there is fitness on monday 630pm at baxter park. MAKE AN EFFORT!

Point to note - Baxter Park is hosting a Gala Day on Saturday - starting at 12.00 - with the house being the focal point.
We might be better off meeting at the East gate of the park at Dalkeith Road / Bingham Terrace.

Just to let everyone know I survived.
Baxter Park to Arbroath in about 1hr 45 mins. Callum joined us at Dobbies.
Sui did the return in about 1hr.
It's a good run - try it if you can.
Cheers
Martin
P.S. Baxter Park tonight for fitness training. |

1 hour 45 sounds like a pretty good time.
I'll be at the fitness training tonight. |
